The Company

Olive Services is the leading maintenance service provider in London, maintaining and servicing everything within the four walls of any restaurant or hotel, whilst also working within the NHS, education, retail and commercial sectors.

Our approach focuses on planned preventative servicing, to ensure minimum downtime for clients. We have been servicing the London since 2003 and our dedicated team of specialist engineers provide a one-stop service for all operational needs.

The Role

This is a high-end customer facing role, providing technical expertise and assistance to other engineers.  You will be working on contracts within the public sector, hospitality, and commercial industry, carrying out service, maintenance, and repair of commercial, heating systems, gas boilers and pumps etc.  The role will also require you to survey and project manage new unit installs.

The Ideal Candidate

You must be commercial Gas Safe qualified.  An electrical qualification, such as 17th edition is preferable but not essential.  This role will ultimately suit someone who is looking to progress their career in challenging situations and who isn’t afraid of hard work.  Air-conditioning and refrigeration experience and qualifications desirable but they are not essential for this role.

Essential Requirements

  • Must live in the Greater London area
  • Hold all relevant up to date qualifications
  • Have a full driving license
  • Experienced in all aspects of heating, ventilation, and plumbing, including maintenance
  • Repair works
  • Fault finding
  • Technical queries
  • Site surveys for maintenance and installations
  • IT literate
  •

Remuneration & Benefits

  • Circa £36,000 – £42,000 per annum depending on skills and experience
  • 40 hours per week with overtime opportunities
  • Occasional weekend call outs

Shift patterns & rates of pay

    Shift patterns are always flexible to cater to clients’ requirements.  Generally, they can be classified as follows but are likely to vary slightly:

  • Day Shift – 6.30am – 2.30pm
  • Night Shift – 11.30pm – 7.30am
  •  

    Pay Rates:

  • Monday to Friday day time 6am to 6pm – basic rate
  • Night shifts and Saturdays – basic rate x 1.5
  • Sundays and Bank Holidays – basic rate x 2
