Our Company

Founded in 2003, Olive has unrivalled servicing and maintenance market experience. Our many clients can outsource all or part of their servicing, maintenance and facilities needs, allowing them to focus on growing their business.

Our approach is built from experience. Managing Director, Sol Goodall, previously a professional chef, worked in restaurants without efficient maintenance regimes and experienced first hand how maintenance problems impact on productivity and profitability. This ‘front line’ experience, underpins Olive’s pro-active approach to servicing and maintenance.

Our team of specialist engineers include refrigeration, gas, air conditioning and maintenance professionals. We also provide clients with on-site, static engineers and expert facilities managers, all backed by our extensive technical and logistics support infrastructure.

In 2011 we diversified into new market sectors including high-end retail, where there is a natural fit for our skills. A retail store, like a restaurant needs to look and function at it’s best at all times and servicing and maintenance needs to be planned, discrete and of the highest quality.

Increasingly we work directly with facilities managers in larger institutions, such as NHS hospitals and schools. Since 2011 we have been working with two leading London NHS Trusts providing planned preventative maintenance for their on-site patient and staff catering facilities.

Olive’s Green policy

We generate about 177 million tonnes of waste every year in England alone. This is a poor use of resources and costs businesses and households money. It also causes environmental damage – for example, waste sent to landfill produces methane – a powerful greenhouse gas.

We at Olive Services support the Governments policy to move towards a ‘zero waste economy’. This doesn’t mean that no waste exists – it’s a society where resources are fully valued, financially and environmentally. It means we reduce, reuse and recycle all we can and throw things away only as a last resort. Olive Services support the following initiatives:

  • encourage businesses to contribute to a more sustainable economy by building waste reduction into design, offering alternative business models and delivering new and improved products and services.
  • encourage a culture of valuing resources by making it easier for businesses to find out how to reduce their waste, to use products for longer, repair broken items and enable reuse of items by others.
  • help businesses recognise and act upon potential savings through better resource efficiency and preventing waste.
